Leading
the organization since its inception more than 25 years ago, Carol A. Wielk is chief
operating officer of the PSRC, responsible to its Board of Directors. She directs and
oversees development and marketing efforts, positions the organization for the national
and global marketplace, and undertakes policies and procedures to meet the program
objectives of the PSRC's public, corporate and private clients.
Ms. Wielk has extensive experience in the health care management setting. She has served
in senior administrative positions at both voluntary and municipal hospitals as well as
with physician peer review organizations.
Ms. Wielk received an A.B, cum laude, from Hunter College, New York; an M.A. in American
Government and Public Law from Columbia University, New York; and an M.B.A. in health
administration from Wagner College, New York.
