The PSRC of America, Inc. is under contract to
the New York State Department of Health to offer training sessions throughout New York
State for nursing home placement and in-house patient assessment. The purpose and intended
audiences for these sessions are described below.

To understand the PRI
instrument and RUGs-II categories and apply the appropriate DOH qualifiers and time
periods for nursing home placement and continued in-house patient assessment. |
To assess the mental health
of an individual for placement in a nursing facility as well as assess the care and
financial supports in the community setting. |
